Coventry Phoenix Film Festival

14 April 2023

21-22 APRIL 2023

Coventry Phoenix Film Festival (CPFF) launched last year to coincide with Coventry as the UK City of Culture and this will be the festival’s second year. The programme will consist of screenings of both curated work and films selected from the competition, as well as talks from Create Central members Debbie Isitt and Mark Hughes-Webb, Sky Blue Studios, The British Film Institute (BFI) Q&As and vital networking events.

Ultimately, the competition encourages submissions from all genres with the hope of promoting and supporting filmmakers from around the world, providing another legitimate platform for a global audience to discover their work.

The CPFF’s primary ambition is to promote the work and distinct creative voices of emerging talent who have something vital to say and deliver these stories in engaging and innovative ways. It will draw from the rich, diverse, and vibrant history of the region to curate its forwardthinking identity and a programme that values film as an important vehicle for positivity and change.
