26 June 2023

Create Central was delighted to welcome ITV's non-scripted commissioners to the West Midlands to meet local creatives.

It was a great opportunity to engage directly and build relationships with senior commissioning editors at ITV and gain insight into their content strategy. We were joined by:

Ade Rawcliffe: Group Director of Diversity and Inclusion, ITV. Ade is a member of the Management Board, with responsibility for all diversity and inclusion related matters across the Group, including leading, developing and growing ITV’s Diversity & Inclusion strategy on and off screen.

Peter Tierney: Commissioning Editor Reality. Peter Tierney is a Commissioning Editor in ITV's newly formed Reality Commissioning team. The team is responsible for titles such as Love Island, Big Brother and The Only Way is Essex.

Joe Mace: Commissioning Editor Entertainment. Joe Mace is a Commissioning Editor for the Entertainment Commissioning team at ITV and is responsible for shows such as The Masked Singer and Beat The Chasers.

Nicola Lloyd: Commissioning Editor Factual Entertainment/Factual. Nicola has commissioned a number of programmes that span factual entertainment and factual. With the launch of ITVX she has commissioned a selection of premium documentary boxsets and singles, these include: a three-part contemporary true crime series called ‘The Other Mrs Jordan’, a two-part series revealing the truth behind con artist Belle Gibson: The Search for Instagram’s Worst Con Artist and singles: The Real Fatal Attraction, Dwarf Story and feature length film ‘It’s Showtime!’

Attendees were treated to in-depth information about each commissioner’s focus and what they are currently looking for.

Networking opportunities followed and there was also a chance to schedule 15-minute 1-2-1s with the three commissioning editors.
