£6 million West Midlands Content Production Fund announced

Create Central is pleased to welcome the launch of the West Midlands Content Production Fund, a new £6 million investment programme supporting film and television productions that can demonstrate strong public value and deliver significant economic, employment and sector development benefits for the West Midlands.
The Fund will provide awards of between £100,000 and £600,000 towards eligible production and post-production costs, supporting a broad range of content including scripted and unscripted television, feature films, documentaries and animation.
Applications will be welcomed from West Midlands-based producers, as well as productions looking to undertake substantial production activity in the region.
For the West Midlands screen sector, the Fund represents an important opportunity to attract and support high-value productions in the region, create employment and skills opportunities for local talent, and strengthen the businesses, facilities and infrastructure that underpin a thriving production ecosystem.
Priority will be given to projects that can demonstrate significant expenditure in the West Midlands, create opportunities for local people, use regional businesses and facilities and contribute to the long-term growth and sustainability of the region’s screen sector.
