New CreaTech Frontiers Funding Call: Foundations Call 2026

The third round of CreaTech Frontiers funding: Foundations Funding Call 2026 is now open!

This round is open to all projects of CreaTech and is designed to support frontier innovation enabling bold ideas that push beyond what’s currently possible through creative technology.

What is the funding for?

The Foundations 2026 call will support bold R&D projects that explore, experiment and take risks with creative technology.

The fund aims to:

• Enable frontier innovation in CreaTech

• Support experimentation and risk-taking

• Develop innovative ideas and approaches using creative technology

• Help projects explore what could be possible beyond current technologies and practices

What funding is available?

• £200,000 total funding

• 20 grants of £10,000

Who can apply?

• Freelancers

• Microbusinesses

• SMEs

Applicants must:

✔️ Be aged 18 or over

✔️ Have a registered address in the West Midlands

✔️ Be eligible under the programme criteria

✔️ Submit a project that aligns with the aims of CreaTech Frontiers

Projects that have already received funding from CreaTech Frontiers are not eligible to apply.

The Foundations 2026 Funding Call is open for applications until 5 October 2026.
